Terms of Use

Vale is intended for adults. You must provide accurate account information, protect your sign-in credentials, and promptly report unauthorized use. Do not use Vale if the law where you live prohibits you from doing so.

Use Vale lawfully and respectfully. Do not exploit, harass, threaten, impersonate, spam, scrape, attack, reverse engineer, interfere with security controls, or disrupt people or services. Do not publish illegal material, another person’s confidential information, sexual exploitation, hateful abuse, dangerous misinformation, or content that infringes intellectual-property or privacy rights.

You keep ownership of content you submit. You grant Vale a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, and distribute that content only as needed to operate, secure, and moderate the features you use. This license ends when the content and associated backups are deleted, except for copies another user lawfully saved or shared outside Vale and records Vale must retain by law. Submit only content you have the right to share.

Vale+ is an auto-renewing subscription that provides the benefits shown before purchase. The purchase screen shows the plan duration, localized price, any trial or introductory period, and what happens when that period ends before you confirm. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm. The subscription renews automatically unless you cancel it in your App Store account settings at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before that period ends.

You keep access through the paid period after cancellation. Restore Purchases checks the current App Store account without creating another subscription. Manage or cancel at App Store subscriptions. Deleting a Vale account does not cancel an App Store subscription.

Apple processes Vale+ purchases and decides refund eligibility under its policies and applicable law. Vale cannot issue App Store refunds directly. To request a refund, sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com, choose “Request a refund,” select the Vale purchase, and submit the request. Canceling prevents future renewals but does not itself request a refund. Deleting your Vale account or the app does not cancel or refund an Apple subscription. Your rights under applicable consumer law remain unchanged.

Vale applies safety checks to community content and reviews reports and uploaded images. Members can report content and block accounts. Vale may reject, limit, or remove content and may suspend or end accounts for safety, legal, security, or policy reasons. Automated checks can make mistakes; contact support if you believe content was blocked or an account action was taken in error.

Vale and its licensors retain rights in the app, design, software, narration, artwork, and editorial content. Scripture translations, external audio, links, sign-in providers, payment services, and other third-party services may have their own terms. Do not copy or redistribute Vale or licensed content unless the app expressly allows it or the rights holder authorizes it.

Features and content may change or be discontinued. Vale does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Vale provides spiritual reading, reflection, and community features and does not replace medical, mental-health, legal, financial, emergency, or other professional advice. Contact qualified help or emergency services when appropriate.

To the extent permitted by law, Vale is provided “as is” and “as available,” without implied warranties. Vale is not responsible for user-submitted content or third-party services it does not control. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, and any limitation applies only to the extent permitted where you live.

Vale may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will be presented through the app or another appropriate notice before they take effect when required. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. Questions, appeals, and legal notices may be sent to support@joinvale.app.
